After 21 years of marriage, my parents have called it quits. Although they have been threw a lot my mom just does not feel the same that she did 20 years ago. Even though times are hard I know that they can make it through this and so can I.threw all the tears and regret we still love each other. As my family goes through devorce, I have gained forgiveness, resilience, and also self-confidence.
First; I will tell you how I gained forgiveness with my parents devorce. Forgiveness is the intentional and voluntary process by which a victim undergoes a change in feelings and attitude regarding an offense, lets go of negative emotions such as vengefulness, with an increased ability to wish the offender well. Theres a lot of things that I can forgive my parents for in this case, but the main reason im forgiving them for is the not telling me that she was going to do it when she done it. Like all the men and the women say you have to “forgive and forget” the situation that has went on. In life there are the people that forgive and there are the people that hold on, me personaly I forgive them for the fact that holding a grudge can hurt you more than forgiving them.
Second; I am going to tell you how i gained resilience in my parents devorce. Resilience is the ability of a substance or object to spring back into shape; elasticity. In other words resilience means that I can bounce back or recover from this experience as if it never occurred. How can one bounce back from this experience? Well like i said in my first paragraph, it takes forgiveness for one to bounce back from a devorce. It may be a long journey to get back to the state of mind that you was in but with forgiveness you can overcome any obstacle or go through any devorce. Resilience can be a superb way in life to be able to bounce back from anything that takes heart and the want to.
Third; I will tell you how you can gain self-confidence. self-confidence is a feeling of trust in one's abilities, qualities, and judgment. I can honestly say that I have a lot of self-confidence because I trust my judgement enough to know what has happend or what can happen. Without self-confidence you couldnt get through the first two steps of this essay about devorce. I have been through all three of the steps in this essay and can say that it will take everything in you not to be mad at them or not to be upset with their choice to be devorced. You may say at times that its hard to see your parents go through this or that its hard for you to go through this but Im telling you now you can do it with a lot of time and love for them. theres a saying that says “if one does not have self-confidence the one does not have trust in yourself.”  This is my essay about devorce, It can be hard but you can acheive anything that you set your mind on.
